DJ Fresh, getting through the typhoonPractice that Chinese! 25 November Too busy!Well, I figure since a lot of people are looking here for more information about me, I'll post my actual site, which is Facebook, at http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=583880015 (search for DJ Kris Fresh, that's me) Anyways, peace out! 04 Juni Holy crap! When was the last time I wrote here! Too busy studying and working... oh, DJing too! haha!!! 10 März You're living in a dream world, Fresh...I cannot believe the last few months. I've not had much time to do anything, and unfortunately this space has fallen by the wayside.... But! I'm writing because I have some cool pics from Thursday up on Photobucket.
Enjoy, i'll post some here too soon. 10 Dezember Stable, and unstable.Things seem to be going better at my place, me and the ringleader, i mean, manager, hehe, sat down and had a good talk about misunderstandings and exactly how many things i have accomplished this last week while moving and being sick and weren't they being a BIT unreasonable to be suggesting I leave after 9 days. I think so too. So, I told them in a roundabout way that I'm not leaving soon, thank you, but the offer was made that if i were to leave, they'd refund the next months deposit and pro-rate this month. Well, something almost came up, actually, a very sweet deal, but unfortunately the manager of that place had already signed a contract with another tenant when Paul talked to him for me. Damn. Keeping on lookin....
At work, we have this new POS software which Dev has made, and really has no clue about how us techs do our job. It lacks the easy of use, the information, and the very tools we need to do our job. New and improved! Looks real shiny though. You know, fresh crap normally is though, haha!!! So, I wrote a massive email to my supervisors, the development person in charge, and the other senior technicians. I wrote a very professional and extremely detailed and constructive critique about what needs to be changed. After I sent it, I realized how wide spread the mail will go, 8-10 senior techs, 5 managers, the development head, and also the Network Administration head, which is part of the the reason I can't sleep yet. A little nervous about that. He's called "Big Jim" at the office, ex-police or military (too late night to remember), and it's not his size, it's his professionalism that worries me slightly. He's like me, except he's in the position of power. Gotta watch the P's and Q's, hehe. But he's nice and pretty reasonable, and I didn't stick my foot in my mouth or set fire to any bridges; I should be fine. Hope so.
Tomorrow: School! And finding out some visa information. Now: relax with some video games! :D 09 Dezember Recovering... and dealing with American(ized) woman...So this is the first day I'm actually better. I've been in the bathroom for the last 3 days and moaning around the house due to some nasty food poisoning I got from... bad pork dumplings? It was either that, or slightly moldy bread, but I think I'll toss them out, just to be safe. So, my roommates are making my life interesting, "Could you" do this, do that... I understand that they have a flow and a system at the house, and I really am trying to fit into that... being sick for almost half the time I've been here though... they're going really hard on me. And I just won't put up with that kinda shit at my own house. One is Americanized, so she's got a very domineering personality, even so for Western standards, but good ol' Fresh won't put up with that. It's compromise city.
They asked me to do a bunch of small things around the house, like "be quiet here" and "do this here", so when i asked her to make a compromise for me, leaving in the power to the toaster, she's like, well, why don't you just do it my way? And I'm like hey, you've asked me to do a lot of stuff already. This is the first thing i'm asking of you! Are you unwilling to compromise? Yah, they had to discuss it for two minutes before they found it to be acceptable. Today, the toaster is moved to the dining room area... and surprisingly, plugged in. Wow! OMG.
And before you think "he's not Taiwanese, he doesn't understand we unplug things", how bout a little bit of "Chris has a working knowledge of electronics and wiring and it does not use any energy" sound to you? (Milliwatts, yes. Do you know how much a milliwatt is? No? Sit down.)
Hahaha, the other girl blurted out "If our rules are so hard for you why don't you just move" and it almost set me off. I've been here just over a week! I moved in over 4 days, and have been sick for 4 days. I've also worked like 25 hours for my company in that time and been in school for 10, studied and slept. This is insane.
I'm gonna attempt to sit down with them and hammer this out, otherwise... I may just take her suggestion. |
